CUTEST FAMILY CONTEST

Do you remember last year?  We had the “Cutest Kid Contest” that Bliss Studio participated in. This year its now the “Cutest Family Contest”.  I will say that I am VERY determined to have my studio take the win for Portland as last year one of my kids, Alyssa, won for Portland and helped raise the “Now I lay me down to sleep” organization over $1000.00 just from her!  The charity event rocked it out last year and I am excited to see how it does this year.  I have a couple families that got a bit of a head start and are already entered.  However its now time to get the information out so we can get a ton of families from Bliss uploaded!

Here is the scoop:

Cutest Family Contest
Sponsored by “Sandy Puc” and “NILMDTS” (now I lay me down to sleep)

Family photos must be taken between Nov. 1, 2009 and April 1, 2010
(contest voting deadline is April 8, 2010)
Special “Family Session Fee” of $50.00 includes your session with Bliss and an entry into the contest.  Minimum investment required (please contact me for that info…it will be less for this special event)

Voting will be on http://www.sandypucmodels.com in the gallery….Search Portland. Each vote is $1.00 and proceeds will go to NILMDTS.   Its a beautiful organization!  Please take a minute to check out their website http://www.nilmdts.org

THE WINNING FAMILY GETS A NEW CAR!!!
Family must win the City of Portland and then will go into a final round of judging with each of the participating city winners!  The final Grand Prize is a NEW CAR!

If you have any questions please email or call me.  I look forward to seeing many of my Bliss Families enter! I will require you to come into the studio for a pre-consult so we can plan an awesome family shot. I am wanting them to be unique to your family so we can pull off some fabulous family shots. If you are unable to come into the studio we will have a planning phone call.  Be thinking of something unique that represents YOUR family!

Reno Clients…You guys can enter to if you want. I will be in town in the early spring! Date TBD. Please let me know if you are interested in entering!

Dawson

This is a super short post but I still wanted to put a couple photos on my blog.  I had a studio “play date” last week where I met a couple friends and we tried some new lights and lighting techniques. Usually we just use each other as models but this time Tom brought his daughter Dawson.  Who initially was going to sit and color. But do you really think I can let this cuteness leave my studio without a couple photos?  Not a chance! So thanks to Tom for bringing Dawson…And thanks to Dawson for putting up with me!  Here are a couple shots of her!

Baby/Toddler Beanies

More hats for sale on our Etsy site www.sticksandfuzzies.com!

Take a Peek!

Oliver Kitty…

I still have a couple more pet sessions to share with you guys.  Meet Oliver!  If I thought dogs were difficult to photograph I was wrong. Cats are MUCH harder.  I love kitty’s but you can not make them do a thing.  Worse than any 2 year old or puppy.  I mean try telling a kitty to sit and see what kind of glare you get from them!  I did my best though and still think I pulled off some cute photos.  Hopefully I didnt disrupt Oliver’s peace too much. Thanks to Laura for bringing him in to see me. Here is a couple of my favorites.

Baby Beanies on Etsy

I have started another adventure! I was wanting new props (hats) for the studio to use for my baby sessions. I bought a few Knitted hats on Etsy (you guys saw all the fun baby session with the Elf hats) and decided after that I wanted more. Well, a good friend of mine, Samantha and I got a wild hair and decided to try making our own hats. I have no idea how to Knit but I sorta remembered crocheting when I was a kid. After a few tries and help from Sam we started making baby beanies!  Now we have a shop called “Stickes & Fuzzies” and are selling these hats on Etsy.  No two hats are the same and please check back as we are uploading new hats all the time.

To visit our shop go to www.esty.com/shop/sticksandfuzzies

If you are looking for something custom feel free to contact me directly. And if you are local you can avoid shipping charges if you want to pick up your hat(s).  You can also email me if you want to come to the studio and peek at the hats we have. A lot of them look even better in person. Every blog post needs a couple photos…So here is a few of our favorite hats we have for sale!

Tawny Puppy

This spring I am working on planning a Pet Charity Event and have asked for a few pets to come visit me. I need some photos to advertise with.  I will keep everyone posted on the details for the Event (It will be in March or April). I want to thank Emily for bringing in Tawny! She was my first animal to come in. Tawny was very well behaved for a puppy and did very well for her session. I couldnt wait to go through all the images I took. Here is just a few of my favorites.  Check back soon as I plan on having a slideshow of all the images with a little video of Tawny posted by the end of the week. Thanks again to Emily and Tawny! Hugs!

Hotel Del, Candy Shop

I just got back from a wonderful trip to San Diego where I had a photo convention SPA (senior portrait artists). It was a week of fun filled activites, learning and of course lots of Laughter!  I met some amazing new friends and had some fun shooting beautiful senior models.  I will try and post of few of my images soon.  But first I wanted to post a couple shots my good friend Genny took of me during an afternoon when we had some free time. We spotted an old fashioned candy shop at the hotel we were at and I was instantly in love.  So we found me the perfect outfit to “match” the shop and started shooting.  I thank the wonderful employess for letting us take over the shot for a bit (I did help bring in some people).  I also want to thank Gen for the WONDERFUL photos she shot!  You rock!  I know some of you may have seen these on my facebook page BUT…my silly Mom Refuses to have a facebook page (dont worry I think I am breaking her down) so I am posting a couple here for her to see.  Here you go mom!
