Is your child America’s Cutest Kid?

Bliss Studio is participating in the National Charity Model Search to select “America’s Cutest Kid” and to raise funds for charity.

We’re looking for cute children ages 18 months to 14 years old to model for a portrait to be entered into the contest. Sessions must be booked from Jan. 1, 2009-March 1, 2009. Past session images are not eligible. 

Models Search Special:

$50 entrance fee, which includes a 30 minute mini model session and one image submitted to the national gallery.

Finalists will be determined by online votes. Anyone may vote. Each vote is $1, and all proceeds from votes benefit the non-profit Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep. (NILMDTS.org)

Grand prize national winner will be determined from the 50 city finalists. Winners selected by photography and modeling industry experts.

If your child is selected the national winner, you’ll receive many prizes, including a $5,000 US Savings Bond and a Canon PowerShot G10 digital camera.

Merry Christmas…

Hello Everyone!  I wanted to first wish everyone a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!  I have family that have flown in and driven up from Eugene to spend the holidays at our house and am very excited!  I am going to be off the next couple days to visit with my family so if you have emailed or called I will get back with you soon!  Have a great holiday!

SNOW!

Can you believe all this snow?  I have been snow bound for about a week now.  We did put some chains on the car and venture to the mall for some last minute shopping yesterday.  Crazy us!  But you can only be stuck for so long :) Half of the stores at the mall were even closed.  My mini cooper is stuck in downtown Portland which is very sad. Its in a Parking Garage thankfully but its costing me $31.00 each day its stuck and we are going on 3 days now…I am bummed!  Saturday was the day we got stuck downtown and our good friend Jonny braved this crazy weather and came to get us.  Here is a shot of him outside the car scraping the window…

Jonny was so funny! A couple even asked where his snow mobile was? A big Thank you to him for coming to rescue us…I wanted a quick shot with him…

Boudoir Album…

As I mentioned I can not post my last few boudoir sessions as they are surprises!  However I was able to sneak a few album layouts from a session with Genny. Her makeup was done by Ashley at the MAC store in bridgeport village.  I am now working with a makeup artist Laura who will be doing makeup at Bliss for my boudoir sessions!  Laura is wonderful and her services will be included in your Boudoir Session packages!  Due to a few cancellations with this wonderful weather we are getting I do still have a couple free Boudoir Sessions up for grabs if you are interested?  Thanks to Genny for letting me post these awesome layouts! You look fabulous!

P.S.  Sorry for the lack of posts this week!  I will make it up to you guys! I have snow photos and a few other goodies to post!  Stay tuned :)

Little Abby…

I have been watching this girl every week and seeing her grow up.  Her Mom and Dad own the bowling alley that I bowl at Tigard Bowl.  Abby’s first bday was this past friday which is when we had her session. She is so sweet and has a very contagious smile. I want to thank Mark and Lori for coming to the studio! I have been wanting to photograph little Abby for quite a while!  Enjoy your sneak peak…

Boudoir Sessions….

I know its been a few days since I have posted….And now that I am snowed in (update on that soon) I have some time to catch up. First off I have been shooting some Boudoir Sessions the last week and they are AMAZING!  However most of them our “surprises” for lucky husbands so I will not be posting any on the blog just yet :)  I do want to thank the girls who have modeled for me so far!  You guys have been awesome!  I also wanted to let everyone know that I have 8 spots left for the FREE Boudoir sessions this month.  If you or someone you know is interested please let me know…

McCord Family…

I say it every time….but I LOVE these kids! Wait…I love whole family (sorry Jody & Debbie didnt mean to leave you out).  We did a quick shoot this last weekend for the McCord’s so we could design some Christmas Cards for them. Once you order our custom designed cards its hard not to get hooked! Its a fun way to share your photos with your friends and family!  

Wanted to give an extra special thanks to the McCord’s for making the drive to the new studio. I know its a lot farther than the old studio but hopefully I made it worth the drive :)

Pink Anyone?

This last Sunday I got to crash Abby & Emily’s Birthday Celebration!  The girls had booked a Pink Hummer Limo and we toured a couple of Wineries.  The theme was pink and my friend Cali (abby’s big sister) and I dressed in Pink for the occasion. We even had pink drinks and pink cupcakes that the girls made for the drive. Here are a couple images starting with the invitation that the girls made….isnt it adorable?

After the Winery Tour we ended at Bridgeport Village for a little shopping adventure. First stop was Mac Makeup where Abby got a makeover. Here she is with her cute “mac face”…

We also saw santa in the village and we asked him for a couple photos. He was so wonderful to let us bother him for a few minutes. However he was surrounded by beautiful ladies…

Boudoir Sessions…

Some of you may have got our December Newsletter and saw the December Special involved Free Boudoir Sessions. I wanted to also post here in case you did not get the newsletter but check the blog :) We are opening up a new market at Bliss for Boudoir Sessions. For those of you who are not sure what that is….It is just beautiful images of women that can be given to your significant other. To me this is all about capturing a women’s true beauty as best as I can. You can get an idea from the images I have posted here the look I am going for.

For the month of December I am offering free Boudoir Sessions to the first 20 people. I will provide the session and a make-up artist (pending availability) at no charge. I will also be offering a Boudoir album at a discounted rate of $300.00. This is a great opportunity to get your honey a valentines gift!
