Another Fabulous "Mommy Workshop"

I have really been loving all these Mommy Workshops I have been teaching. It really feels like I am giving back to my fellow mom's and helping them out a bit. I love that it is a one on one class that I can cater to the needs of my student. Everyone has a different range of knowledge when it comes to photography and having to sit through a larger class may or may not work well for you. I tend to be a better learner when I am one on one. In a larger venue I tune out or give up if it is over my head. So these workshops are great. A chance for you to ask questions and gain knowledge in the area you are lacking or wanting to know more about. These workshops are $59.00 for a two hour one on one with me at the studio. Its not about learning how to be a pro....These are simple classes that I can give tips and tricks about photographing your own children a little better. Give you a little more skills on your camera and understanding a bit more about light. So far I have had a lot of positive feedback and happy mommy's! For today's post I want to share a little Bliss Love from my Mommy Workshop I taught on Monday. Sarah's hubby bought her a workshop for her bday (what an awesome hubby right?) and she drove up from Salem to see me! She wrote up a little something special that I wanted to share... "I had the pleasure of taking the Mommy Workshop at Bliss Studio with Whitney. She is such an excellent teacher. My camera went from confusing and intimidating to something I finally felt like I understood and could use. Not only did I get to learn about the camera, angles, composition, and how to capture the best light sources,  we got to take my rambunctious 1.5 year old (and husband for toddler wrangling duties) and put it all into practice. We took pictures inside and outside, all the while Whitney shared her wisdom and knowledge to help me better capture my precious boy. It was amazing! I learned so much, I had tons of fun, the whole experience was just awesome, and I get better photos on top of it all! This should be a required course for moms!"  ~Sarah

Sarah has also graciously shared a few photos she captured. These are all straight out of the camera (no Photoshop)...

Pretty adorable right? I must say as much as I enjoyed working with Sarah...I think her little man stole my heart. His glasses were ADORABLE! Seriously. With any workshop I always snag a couple of my own photos...mostly for teaching purposes but it might be a little that I can not resist. I mean a Cutie...In my studio. No brainer :)  So here is just a couple shots I snagged...

Thank you to Sarah and her family for coming to see me...I really enjoyed meeting all of you and am so happy to hear that you gained some new photo skills! Keep practicing...It will only get easier!

If anyone is interested in booking a workshop please email me! My March Special will include a FREE 5x7 image from one of the images I snag during the workshop (this is a $31 value).  You must complete your workshop in March to receive this offer.  Also these workshops are primarily weekday bookings but I have one Saturday open in March if you need a weekend. March 23rd! I have a few spots open for that day. Im here if you have any questions!
